As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Xavax, Mr. Harbison is responsible for the technical vision of the company and the overall planning and technical direction of product development. As the chief architect for Xavax consulting services he is responsible for the design and development of custom software to meet client specifications and for training and mentoring client staff.

Education

Mr. Harbison graduated from UAH in 1981 with a BS in electrical engineering.

Mr. Harbison has over 27 years of experience as a computer engineer and software engineer. His areas of expertice include:

• Computer Architecture
• Digital Circuit Design
• Object-oriented Design and Programming
• Application Development in C, C++ and Java
• Object Persistence
• Distributed Computing (CORBA, EJB, RPC)
• GUI Development (JSF, AWT, Swing, Motif, Xt, X11).

Publications

Mr. Harbison is the author of XStore User Guide and is currently writing a book on best practices for programmin and debugging.
